New Hampshire Backyard Farm Wedding

Lily and Mike celebrated their wedding in a very unique and special place, Mike’s parent’s New Hampshire farm. During the pandemic they spent the entire summer on this farm to get away from life in NYC. During this time they explored and fell in love with New Hampshire together. Mike proposed on one of their weekends visiting the farm a couple years later. This whole wedding was a family effort. Mike’s parents helped set up the barn due to the rain they experienced on their day. Everyone had to pitch in to make this day as beautiful as it was.

While Mike got ready in the main 19th century farmhouse, Lily and her bridesmaids got ready in a small converted barn (now guesthouse). Her color scheme was a gorgeous bold and vibrant bright summer colors. Just because it isn’t white, does not make it not bridal. These colors not only were gorgeous for the season, but fit their personalities and impeccable tastes! The other thing the vibrant flowers did was brighten up a moody day. A downpour started right after the family portraits so the ceremony was moved into the barn which turned out beautiful. My favorite part about this wedding was the food. Mike is a chef, so we knew he would bring in the best caterer, but I loved how they had their favorite foods at their wedding from Vietnamese spring rolls to an amazing raw bar and family style dinner. The food was definitely a centerpiece of the day.

The best parts of this day were the non-traditional ones because I felt the couple’s relationship and love through all of their beautiful touches they added.
