I’m Natalie! And this is my story.

The Quick Facts:

I can best be described as a girly girl with a love for adventure. Hiking boots are my footwear of choice and pretty dresses make me smile. My favorite things include my cats, cooking for friends, cheese, and getting outside in almost any capacity. Don’t even get me started with how much I love winter and snow!

I am a true optimist and love to bring out the positive in everyone and everything.

I’ve had a passion for stories for as long as I can remember. Fairy tales were always my favorites. They always seem to combine the elements of life I love most; nature, romance, and far away places. Through photography, I don’t want to capture a story, I want to tell it. I’ve been photographing weddings, elopements, and adventure sessions since 2019.

The Bio:

I think getting started with a bio is the hardest part of writing one, and so here is the world’s most awkward start to a bio!

I guess it’s good to start from the beginning. I was born and raised in Connecticut, and on the surface I had a pretty normal childhood. Until you looked at what family vacations and weekends were like in my home. My parents, especially my dad, are big time adventure lovers. Summer vacations were spent hiking in the mountains, and in the winter I was taken out of school to go skiing on less crowded resort days. I was a Girl Scout, and still am. Outdoor education was a huge part of my upbringing. Then there is the flip side. As a child I was obsessed with fine and performing arts. Theater, music, dance, art class… you name it! We loved music in my home and I was inspired by my big brother to get into singing. In high school I took music theory classes becoming further obsessed with the art world, and eventually went on to major in music in college.

Fast forward to after college and I was working in the non-profit world. I was happy, but travel was always missing from my life since I sincerely had not seen much of the world. Finally, my first big trip out west happened when I was 26. I could not stop taking photos, it was sincerely unlike anything I have ever experienced. I wanted to document every last moment. At the age of 26 I picked up a camera for the first time. Since then I found my true passion in life documenting love stories, specifically in beautiful and natural settings. Combining my love of nature, adventure, and art is truly the best job for me and I’m so excited to see what life brings next.
