New Hampshire Fall Micro Wedding

Alex & JT booked me for their day over two years ago for their White Mountain Micro Wedding. This adventure couple wanted their day to reflect their love story intentionally so they kept their guest list to the most important friends and family in their lives. We planned a hike, an outdoor ceremony at a bed and breakfast, and found them the most beautiful AirBnb to get ready in nearby.

Things didn’t quite go as planned, it rained. And when I say it rained, I mean it RAINED. It was close to freezing outside as well which put a huge wrench in the idea of having an outdoor ceremony. So what does every adventurous couple do when things don’t go as planned? We adapt! The outdoor ceremony went indoors and with a small guest list it was no problem to bring everyone inside the B&B for an extremely emotionally charged and intimate ceremony. During the ring exchange the sun which wasn’t supposed to have any opportunity to shine, came out for 20 minutes. Everyone started crying during that moment, and JT’s mom told me why following the ceremony. JT had a twin brother who died when they were teenagers. During important family events phenomenons such as the sun randomly coming out would occur since his brother’s death. I cried too.

Following the ceremony Alex, JT, and I went for a hike at a nearby waterfall and to an overlook for portraits. With no sunset, the moody skies provided a beautiful accent to end their fall microwedding in New Hampshire.
