Simon Pearce & Woodstock, VT Wedding

As I walked into the Woodstock Inn & Resort to begin coverage for Jennie & Taaha’s intimate celebration I felt an overwhelming joy. This was my first wedding since June due to being on a long cross country road trip. I was excited to be back home in New England on my first wedding of the fall season. I was greeted by a very excited Jennie with the warmest hug. I was able to get to know the couple over the course of the summer. Their love for the outdoors, cats, and all things Vermont being similar to my own.

After Jennie’s mom helped her into her dress Taaha arrived for their first look in the beautiful gardens of The Woodstock Inn. Taaha was dressed in traditional Pakistani wedding attire to pay homage to his culture and upbringing. From there we traveled to the most “vermont” nature preserve I ever stepped foot on just outside of the town of Woodstock. It was an old farm complete with the cutest barn kittens ever. They followed us around the entire time we hiked for their portraits!

After portraits it was nearly time for their not so traditional, but absolutely beautiful ceremony which was an emotional combining of cultures and true love between the best souls. From Taaha’s Pakistani culture the couple did a traditional milk drinking ceremony. Taaha had us all in tears with a beautiful song he wrote on guitar for Jennie as a surprise to her. The couple said “I do” on the Hartford, Vermont town green located just next door to Simon Pearce, which is a very famous VT glass blowing studio with an amazing restaurant attached.

Jennie & Taaha truly celebrated their intimate wedding over under 30 guests the best way they knew how to, and I couldn’t have been happier. Every part of their day was so incredibly intentional and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Simon Pearce and the surrounding area of Vermont was heavily impacted by the flooding during July 2023, so we were extremely happy to see how well Vermont was rebuilding during our time there.
